One of the Linfield 2015s is the great grandson of Bob Bryson who used to play for Linfield as detailed below.
Bob made 220 appearances and scored 48 goals over 10 seasons, winning three Irish Cup winners medals, 1945, 1946 and 1948, two Irish League championship, 1945 and 1946, as well as a host of other medals.
A Scottish Junior International, Bob was one of the few players to represent both the Irish League and the League of Ireland representative sides and he was awarded a testimonial by Linfield, with Coventry City providing the opposition.
Bob’s son is now 80 and is the grandfather of one of the current 2015s players.
