David Healy announces news of a contract extension for David Walsh.
“I’m delighted to advise our supporters that David Walsh has agreed a two-year contract extension to take effect upon the expiry of his existing contract at the end of the season.
David has impressed on several occasions this season and I’ve no doubt that he will continue to make a significant contribution to our efforts over the course of this season and the following seasons.
He’s been working hard in training under close supervision from our goalkeeping coach Johnny Williamson and of course, he can only benefit from training alongside an excellent and experienced goalkeeper in Chris Johns.
He’s only 20 years old and will continue to develop and make good progress as a goalkeeper.
The award of this contract extension is richly deserved and I’m really pleased to get this important contract negotiation concluded at this early stage.”
