Linfield undone by 2 second half strikes

Linfield went down to a 2-0 defeat to Cliftonville in tonight’s Sports Direct Premiership encounter at New Midgley Park.

Linfield were undone by two superb strikes from distance - a 30 yard strike from Toni-Leigh Finnegan after 65 minutes and a free kick from just outside by the box by Hannah Doherty after 76 minutes - both strikes sailing into the roof of the net.

Second half subs were Rachel McConnell and Emily Reid for Ebony Leckey and Carla Devine after 79 minutes.

Linfield are back in action on Friday night with Derry City the welcome visitors to New Midgley Park in the Sports Direct NIFL Premiership.
