Linfield secure 3-1 League win at New Midgley Park

Linfield sealed a 3-1 win against Derry City in tonight’s Sports Direct Premiership game at New Midgley Park.

Derry City took a 7th minute lead thanks to a terrific strike from distance by Ellie Redden.

Mia Moore drew Linfield level with a 27th minute equaliser converting from close range at the back post following a low left wing Keri Halliday cross.

The visitors were then reduced to 10 players when Kaci Deerey was dismissed for a second yellow card in the 38th minute.

Mia Moore grabbed her and Linfield’s second goal in the first minute of the second half - another close range effort.
