Linfield Football Club is delighted to announce the second part of our new partnership with Autism NI
Manager David Healy and club captain Jamie Mulgrew were at Windsor Park last week to launch a keepy-uppy challenge with Kerry Boyd, Autism NI Chief Executive.
David says, “At Linfield we are proud to support the autism community in whatever ways we can, and this keepy-uppy challenge is just one of them. I would encourage as many people as possible to get involved.”
Kerry explains the challenge. “We are really excited to begin this new partnership with Linfield. Our aim is to raise £56,000, £1,000 for each of Linfield’s world record breaking number of league titles, and you can play your part by completing as many keepy-uppys in 60 seconds as possible. Then you can spread the message by nominating 5 friends on social media – upload a video to @xxxx etc and donate £5 by texting AUTISM to 70515.”
During the partnership, Autism NI will provide their Autism NI Impact Award training to Linfield and help make adjustments where the club can increase accessibility for our autistic supporters and build an inclusive society.
Linfield supporter Gemma Caddell was also at the launch at Windsor Park. “As a parent of an autistic child, it’s fantastic that the club are linking up with Autism NI ‘ it is important that that clubs have sections where parents with children with special needs and adults can have somewhere quiet to sit and watch the game “
